What we collect

Your email address, to sign you in and email you your alerts.

The iPhone models and Apple Stores you choose, and the ZIP code you search with.

A notification address for each device where you turn on push. It comes from your browser's push service and lets us send that device alerts. It isn't your phone number.

A history of the alerts we send you, including whether an alert email was opened, whether you tapped through, and when a push notification reached your device, so we can tell whether alerts arrive and how fast.

How you use the site, measured by our own first-party analytics that runs on our servers: the pages you view, buttons and links you click, the steps you take when setting up an alert, page speed and errors, the site or campaign that referred you, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language and time zone, and an approximate location (country, state and city) derived from your IP address by Cloudflare. We don't store your IP address.

Billing details through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Cookies and identifiers

A first-party cookie (rr_vid) recognizes a returning browser. When you sign in, earlier activity from that browser is linked to your account so we can understand how people find and use RestockRoo. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

Only to run the service you signed up for: checking stock, sending alerts and sign-in codes, billing you, improving the site and preventing abuse, and to meet accounting obligations. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for ads or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may show anonymous totals, like how many alerts we've sent or which iPhones came in at which stores. They never include names, email addresses or anything else that identifies you.

Who we share it with

Stripe for payments; ZeptoMail by Zoho to send email; Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft, whichever runs your browser's push service, to deliver notifications; Cloudflare to protect the site and estimate your approximate location; and our hosting provider. Each only gets what it needs to do its job. No analytics company or advertising network receives your data.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active. Stock history is kept for up to 90 days. Analytics events are kept for up to 13 months; anonymous statistics may be kept longer. Payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires and are anonymized when you delete your account.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can get a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. If you live in California or the EU, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Email [email protected].

Downloading and deleting your data

You can download your data or delete your account yourself at any time under Account → Privacy. Deleting your account cancels your plan, then removes your email address, alerts, devices, alert history and the analytics linked to your account. You can also email [email protected] from the address on your account.
